Residents and Visitors
Resident Information
St. Joseph's Manor provides different levels of care based on the particular needs of the individual. All rooms are private or semiprivate with ensuite washrooms.
Residents may be moved to another room within St. Joseph's Manor. The priorities used to determine room changes are:
- Safety considerations,
- Resident care needs,
- Ability to pay for preferred accommodation, and
- Resident preference.
Requests for room changes are recorded by the Administration staff and can be made at any time following admission. When a bed is available, the needs of Manor residents on this internal waiting list are satisfied prior to the bed being offered to the community for admission. The Director of Care approves all resident room transfers.
Other features at St. Joseph's Manor include: air conditioning, chapel, alarms on exit doors, animals onsite, common television room, physiotherapy and activity rooms, wheelchair access to outside courtyard/covered balcony, and spacious shower/bathing rooms equipped to handle any mobility concern.
Resolve a Concern or Share a Compliment
We always welcome suggestions. There are comment forms by each servery for comments regarding nutrition related concerns. Feel free to drop any comments at Administrator/ DOC office mailbox.
Annually residents and their families have an opportunity to evaluate the services at St. Joseph's Manor by completing a satisfaction survey.
We encourage Residents and/or families to raise questions or voice their concerns with the care provider(s), who will either deal with them directly or notify the appropriate department supervisor.
If your questions or concerns have not been addressed to your satisfaction by your care provider(s), please discuss discuss them with the Charge Registered Nurse.
If your questions or concerns are still not addressed to your satisfaction you are invited to contact the Director of Care. An appointment can be made through the administrative assistant.
