Hospice Care
The goal of care in the Hospice Palliative Care Room is to control pain and manage other symptoms of a patient’s life-limiting illness while also considering the emotional and spiritual concerns of the patient and loved ones.
If a patient is not eligible for the Hospice Suite or if the room is not available, accommodations can also be made for family members to remain with their loved ones at end of life in a Hospital room.
The goal is for patients to obtain end-of-life care in the setting of their choice. If the patient is admitted to the Hospice Suite or a Hospital room and wishes to return to their home for end-of-life care, all efforts will be made to transition the patient home.
